Morning, everyone! I don’t have anything specific to blog about this morning. I just felt like writing. The boyfriend is currently occupied with Destiny (for those ladies that have no idea what that is, I congratulate you in life.) Just kidding. It’s a video game and he enjoys it. I enjoy it when he’s happy so, kind of win win?
I am patiently waiting for the online release of Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar palette on Sephora. I’m, unfortunately, not a VIB or VIB Rouge, so I’ve suffered the wait of a few days whilst browsing Instagram and YouTube unboxings of this beautiful palette.
I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews. Most are saying it’s absolutely lovely and on par with the original Chocolate Bar palette. Some are saying it’s lacking in pigmentation. Hold on. Have to go refresh Sephoras website. Okay, I’m back. Still nothing. Sigh. Anyway, yes, so some are saying it’s lacking in pigmentation. My only comparison to this palette will be Coastal Scents. I’m not concerned that it will exceed my low standards. I’m not a palette hoarder, by any means, but I feel one swatch of this will give me all of the feels, thusly changing the way I few palettes for the rest of my life. This is going to be a Christmas gift from the boyfriend. Maybe I could coerce him into snagging me the original too. See, it’s already happening.
I dyed my hair yesterday! I’ve needed to for a while. I needed a change from the red I’ve been using for the past five years. I was going to go with a dark brown. Then I saw a gorgeous soft black and figured, what the hell? I’ve always been fairly experimental with my hair color and cuts. It grows back. I usually make it work.
Here is the dye I used and a before and after. The lighting varied from where I took the photos, but you can get the gist.
I’m pleased with it! It has taken a bit of getting used to this morning. In the up and coming days, the color will wash out a bit and be a bit softer, which I’m okay with.
What do you guys think?

I love darker hair. I also loved that you did it a home. I am such as wimp, I go to the hair salon cause I’m scared i would have dye everywhere.lol
Haha! Oh. I did get dye everywhere! It comes out after a while. I even got some on my cheek. Easy remedy to that is using nail polish remover on a cotton ball and wiping your face with it. I think olive oil works too. I have wanted to get my hair done professionally, but the couponer in me struggles to put up so much cash for it!
My mom uses Listerine to get rid of the streaks left behind. Well, dont worry about the salon in my opinion if you color your hair all one color. Now, highlighting ,low lights or wanting to give it a blend , yeah definitely a salon.
Nice, I like the color! I’m not sure if I want the Semi-Sweet palette or not. Some days I’m super excited, others I could care less. I’m not VIB either so I’m waiting with bated breath 🙂
Did you end up purchasing it? I waited ALL day on the 15th for it to come out, only to realize they changed the release date for the 16th. My boyfriend woke at 5 AM for work and ordered it for me. He left a note that said, “I ordered your thing.” Haha!
Aweeeeeeeeee that is so romantic! In a totally guy way, haha. I haven’t ordered it yet but it’s been sitting in my cart for several days. I just can’t decide! I sort of maybe kinda just picked up the UD Smoked palette (it was $20, why the heck not!), AND both the Smashbox holiday palettes that were like half off plus 20% off so I’m having trouble excusing another palette purchase 😦 BUT. I want it. LOL.
