I’ve become just a tiny bit makeup obsessed.

Liquid gold.

Liquid gold.

Good morning, everyone! I trust you all slept will! I, myself, am still rubbing the sleep away while greedily slurping down my first cup o’ java. Okay, last sip of that cup was just had. On to cup number two!  Continue reading

Hide & Go Chic nail polish review and swatch! ..And some other things!

Let me start off this post with saying that nothing has been going my way today. It’s frigid and windy here in Connecticut. It’s cold inside because it’s a drafty building and according to maintenance the heat cannot keep up with the wind.  Apparently the purge valve in our unit needs to be replaced as soon as possible or we will be dealing with one hell of a mess in the bedroom. I was advised about a half hour ago that the water was shut off due to a pipe burst of some sort in a different unit. I’m hoping by the end of this entry it will be turned back on. Argh! I feel like it’s been one thing after another. Anyway, first world problems, right? Onward and beyond!  Continue reading

NYX Cosmetics, Coastal Scents and why I love makeup.

Buy all the makeup!

Buy all the makeup!

Well, I did it again. I purchased a few more items to add to my tiny collection of make up. It’s understandable that I would need to purchase this many items in such a short amount of time, right? To be fair, most of the items I owned were from about seven years ago. Did you know that Urban Decay primer will eventually dry up and become a sticky paste? Who needs Elmer’s glue! Not this chick! Read on to check out what goodies I’m expecting =)  Continue reading

Maybelline Holographic Color Show in Lavender Luster swatch!

Maybelline Holographic Color Show in Lavender Luster

Maybelline Holographic Color Show in Lavender Luster

Just wanted to post a quick photo of a new nail polish I bought about a week ago. I scored a Maybelline Holographic Color Show in Lavender Luster for just $0.88 at Target. I love, love, love this new polish of mine. It goes on extremely smoothly, the formula doesn’t clump and it’s not watery. It’s a versatile polish that can be used day or night. I love them so much that I’m hoping my Target has a few more lying around somewhere. The regular price on these polishes are $3.99 so if you see them at the store at a discounted price, I suggest you grab them before they are gone! A good friend of mine scored two of these beauties for $1.49 each which is still an amazing price. Always, always, always scour your Target clearance sections for hidden finds! Can’t wait to go again and see what other treasures I can dig up!

Mary Kay moisturizer, ELF brushes and primer, Philosophy cleanser and knowing you’re beautiful.

I have a confession. It’s shocking, appalling and unheard of! I’m a 28 (almost 29) year old and I have never owned a good facial moisturizer. I’ve recently become quite obsessed with the world of beauty and makeup. It is so vast and beyond any type of expectations I had when I started. It dawned on me that I’ve been using hand cream and sometimes even foot cream as my primary facial moisturizer. That’s not okay. After some research I discovered I have combination to oil skin. My cheeks are normally dry and flaky and my t-zone is normally oily. Last night I scoured Amazon and other beauty blogs for the best product.  Continue reading
